The future logistics partnership (FLP) is one way for CILT to participate in the world’s fastest growing countries. Interaction with India through FLP: the project in South India is a key part of the Institute’s long-term strategy and requires the development of new, sustainable growth and business models that meet the rapidly changing needs of India’s dynamic industrial economy.
CILT collaborates with the school of logistics and technology management, Cochin, Prolific HR in Bangalore and Exim Academy from Chennai, working together in the dynamic and strategically important region of South India. FLP: South India will use the excellent CILT education package to create a flagship logistics network of adaptable, sustainable systems with informed, well-connected professionals at its core.
The combination of international experience of the Institute and of the educational knowledge with the local knowledge, network contacts and teaching skills of our partners, the future of partnership in South India will expand access to first class training which continues to raise standards and improve best practices throughout the world. FLP will raise awareness of the importance of a career in logistics and transport, as well as provide professional qualifications and practical experience in the placement of enterprises that will allow school graduates, students and graduate students to make the most of their career in this vital industry. In addition, our partners are committed to providing South India with the same high quality services and resources that CILT members around the world use.
While the work in Bangalore and Cochin is key, the long-term vision for the future of logistics partnership is much broader. In addition to creating models that can be replicated across India, the experience and understanding gained from this process will be invaluable throughout South-East Asia and beyond.
